The UK's Local Government Association Independent Climate Change Commission is to issue its first report next week.  The Commission launched in March 2007 will examine how Local Government can help reduce carbon emissions and will look to set targets.

  Local Government is increasingly at the forefront of the climate debate in the UK as Councils are beginning to think and act locally in their initiatives.  The report is due out on Wednesday 5th December.  For more information go to www.lga.gov.uk .
