Tesco’s has announced the areas that will pilot its home insulation service. They are Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, and Worcestershire.
The service according to Tesco’ is the first of its kind in the UK and it intended to significantly reduce Tesco customers’ annual fuel bills by an average of £200 through the installation of free or affordable loft and cavity wall insulation. The new service follows a series of initiatives from Tesco aimed at helping customers help the environment while cutting down on household expenses.
Tesco Greener Living Category Director, Andrew Brocklehurst, commented: “Insulating your home brings double benefits as customers can help the environment and save money at the same time.”
Tesco is offering the service to those who are over 70 or in receipt of an income or disability related benefit the installation for free. Otherwise the average cost is £199.
