AP Innovations has completed the opening of its 13th biodiesel plant in the U.S. The plant designed, built and installed for Pinnacle BioFuels, is the second to be installed by the company in Arkansas. The company anticipates that the plant will be working at full capacity in less than seven days and with product meeting all ASTM specifications. “The plant currently uses animal fat as the feedstock, but is equipped to handle a variety of different feedstocks to insure its adaptability to changing conditions and feedstock prices” said Mike Shook, an owner of AP Innovations.

AP Innovations designed all provided project management for all the balance of plant items in addition to the responsibility of installing the processor and commissioning of the plant.

Pinnacle Biofuels can produce 10 million gallons of the renewable fuel annually, said Steve Bolin, the company president. Pinnacle started production May 12, 2008. “We employ 22 people at the plant. I as well as the city of Crossett are happy that the owners brought a new company to an area striving for new employment”, said Brad Dobson, Plant Manager.
