At Chorley in Lancashire, Barratt have built seven special homes which feature the latest energy -
efficient and 'green' technologies, including wind, solar and geothermal power.

this is meant as a pilot study to see whether theire will be a market for such homes in future.

The homes aren’t available to buy, as they are being evaluated by experts from Manchester University. But they demonstrate how Britain’s leading housebuilder is confronting the challenge of climate change as part of our contribution to a cleaner, safer, greener environment.
